STILL LIFE is a 3-minute film that captures an event rarely seen by the naked eye—the disintegration of a human body. Using a blend of live action and visual effects to reproduce the metamorphosis, the spectacle of death is staged from a camera obscura point-of-view. The subject is treated with both scientific curiosity and a painterly light. The soundtrack echos the requiem by degenerating from musical to ambient sound, for an overall poetic result.

NATURE MORTE est un film de 3 minutes sur le thème de la décomposition. Dans un style “timelapse” le film capte la mort et la désintégration d’un corps humain. Le film emploie des effets numériques pour interprèter cette métamorphose avec sensibilité. En paralèlle la trame sonore musicale écho le requiem en se déconstruisant jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit réduite en sons ambiants.
